The Prophet of Forgivness

Alex sat in the back, listening. Stealth wasn't an idea he had, regardless of what the others decided. He was going in fast and hard, that's just how you get things done. He would go in by SOIEV if necessary, if an ODST can do it, so can a Spartan. This had to be done, and stealth wasn't necessary for the mission. Just go in loud and hard, and they would win.

David responded to Nicks accusations about the plan of finding a way through the city. "Small recon teams consist of two members; Each member silently slips through the target area scouting out and looking for ways to get through without being seen." He explained "They can also help us find which hanger the Arbiter is docked at, and if they have the proper help. They could get clearance codes, access to the ship without detection, and data on the covenent and insurectionists." He added to his previous explaination. "You can not deny, that is good in exchange for a little time."

After hearing David's explanation, Nick got even more confused.

"You say that a recon team could 'silently slip' through the city and find a way to get though 'without being seen.' But how could the recon team 'silently slip' through without first knowing a way that would make them unseen?

"This recon team would have to be unarmored or else everyone would easily notice that they don't belong.

"You also say that they could gather information about the where the Brute Arbiter and his ship are. But wouldn't 12 eyes be better than 4? Why not have everyone find information?

"It seems like your plan has many flaws, and all of its benefits are already present in my plan."



((Dante, if your chaacter disagrees with the mission, please have him say something about it now.))

Alex stood up, time to speak his mind. "Why not go in by SOIEV directly to the target? Why even need stealth to begin with? Just move in a UNSC fleet and lock down the position, kill the target during the gunfire. We have plenty of simple alternatives, I'm not sure why you're all gun-hoe on stealth." He let that sink in for a moment and sat back down, waiting for replies.

Little did any of the Spartans preparing for the assault know, Jay had already slipped onto Notio via the modified Covy dropship, which was parked on the countryside. Inside it was an arsenal of high explosives, high power assault weapons, and all the firepower it could carry. Each day, he planned to come back and resupply. What he carried on him at the moment was a grenade pack full of class 3 nuclear mines. A weak mine, but it could level anything from a single building to an entire city block.

At the arrival of the Brute Arbiter city was put into a lockdown to ensure the safety of the high valued target. Walls surrounded the place, nothing was getting in. The first night, Jay planted several explosives around the main gates. The second night, he snuck through the walls, avoiding any contact with anyone. He was a ghost. The third night was the key time of his stay. He planted the mines on the arbiter's ship and also other key points on the main buildings. Jay would be damned if any of these fuckers made it out alive.

Now all he had to do was wait. Wait for the drop and to signal the Heretic armada for the assault. After this, Jay would become the Reaper; The Harbringer of Death and Destruction.

Nick sighed when he head Alex's suggestion. It wouldn't have been bad, say, 20 years ago. But now was a different time.

"Well Alex, we just don't have the resources. The shipyard at Onyx was just attacked, and others have been damaged by terrorist attacks too. Not to mention all of the rebuilding our remaining fleets are doing. In addition, if we bring a large fleet then we will have a large battle with the Insurrectionists.

"Our allies from the Human-Covenant war, the Elites, are also recovering from the conflict. They have to control all of the Covenant Seperatists. In addition, we're not very good allies with them. We were only working together because of neccesity. Now, we have no information on them. They might be ready for an attack, but maybe not. We simply don't know.

"Now going in stealhily has its advantages. We can gather information about both the Covenant Terrorists and the Insurrectionists.

"Sorry Alex, but times have changed."

"Times have changed." Nick said.

Ennis listened. Ennis plan did have flaws, it wasn't like him to speak out normally. It didn't matter though, out in the field is where it mattered. Different plans were being thrown out to the newly formed Squad, but ultimately it was Nick's decision. Orders Ennis would follow regardless of what they were.

The Spartan's time in the Hangar was coming to a close.

Ennis stood straight with his Battle Rifle still slung casually across his arms as they were crossed.

"What's the decision Sir?" Ennis asked Nick.

Gideon stood next to Ennis and made a nod to him, agreeing that this needed to be wrapped up and a decision made, it was Nick's Squad overall.

"I think our concern is our armor Sir, it's rare that we're out of it for more then a few hours for repairs or upgrades." Ennis commented hoping to relieve everyone's possible concern.

"I suggest we stick to the original plan guys. There's no room to argue or think of something else." Gideon said, patting Ennis on the shoulder and proceeding to move towards Nick. "Why don't we get a move on, Aye?" Gideon continued, removing his shotgun.

((Suggestion: How about take along some weapons cases or something like that, and carry your armor and weapons as your luggage. Mainly packed into say, rucksacks, and have maybe the Spartans in robes to consiel their true identity because the Spartans are already biochemically enhanced super soldiers and stick out in a crowd anyway due to their large size, UNSC tattoos, not to mention the part in the back of their skull where memory chips and processing computer stuff is inserted. (I read the book of Reach) So go in cloaked and have some weapons under them. When not in site of anything, use the armor. Most detailed procedure i believe.))

A message from an unknown source came over the screen in the hangar. It said: "Commence your drop, everything is ready when you get here. Hurry the fuck up. There are cloaks on the ground for you, land on the countryside at these coordinates there is a covenant dropship stocked with all kinds of ordinance. Sneek into the city via a colvert below the walls. -The Reaper-"

Happy that everyone agreed, Nick continued.

"I understand that you guys want your weapons and armor close at hand, so I think that we could keep it with us in our luggage.

"Now to disguise ourselves we should wear something with hoods. I have clothes like these packed in our ship."

Nick led the others into their vessel. It was a small ship, but all of them could comfortably fit in it. He showed them all of the secret compartments that were hidden from scanners.

"Alright, I think we're ready."

The arguing between all parties finally died down. A mysterious message came on the bay, the voice was eletronic and gritty; it gave them help on what to do telling them to hurry down to the planet. The desicion finally came down to Nick and he decided to go with his plan. He made a way so that their weapons and armor could be kept close by so they dont die or become injured in some way from being away from their armor. David and the others loaded into the dropship following Nick. "I hope this goes as well as you planned Nick." He commented as the doors closed.

The Reaper? Ennis thought to himself as the aruging finally came to an end. As the SPARTANs one by one arranged their equipment in the secret hatches the Spartan stayed quiet, to hismelf.

It took a few technicians to remove the Spartans MJOLNIR armor, one by one. But they were effcient and quick. On the field, they'd have to assist each other in re-equipping their armor together. It wouldn't be a problem though.

For now, Ennis was out of touch with her. Neither of them minded though. It gave her time to plow through ONI's records of Insurrectionist activity on Harvest, Notio and this new Arbiter. When they were back together, Ennis would have the information he needed. Information that was hard to find. It would be an advantage they all needed.

Ennis sat between Gideon and Nick as the rest finished loading their gear as David commented the mission as the doors closed to the dropship.

"I hope his goes as well as you planned Nick." David said.

"It'll go smoothly." Ennis remarked in an attempt to ease his fellow Spartan's mind. "We do it by the books. Get it - Get out." He continued.

Jay was taking pride in what he was doing at the moment. Clearing the way for an easy mission, taking out the insurrectionists one by one without being detected. This meant that he got the chance to do a little close quarters practice. He was drenched in blood by the night was over. Snapping necks and crushing people with his bare hands was one of his favorites. Not a singe shot was fired the entire night, his anger fueled all he did on Harvest.

((Alex, I have an idea that may enhance the story greatly and your character's actions. What if you had something terrible happen to Lilly, then Alex could be bent on revenge that fuels his anger and power. I am still working on a way to explain the pure rage of Jay.))

Out the ship's window, Harvest came into view. It was a beautiful planet, but damaged by three past battles. Plasma and nuclear fallout made most of the planet unihabitable. Yet the remaining part flourished, and was home to over a million inhabitants.

The ship sailed in toward the surface. They were landing in a plasma-scar left by the First Battle of Harvest. The plasma-terrain would help keep the ship hidden from detection. Then they would walk 2 miles east, to Notio.

Nick rehearsed their story in his head. Our town, Dolor, was too close to nuclear fallout and people were getting cancer. We decided to move to Notio. We are currently looking for jobs repairing ships.

"Here we go."

((I was planning on that Jay actually.))
Alex smiled down on Harvest, he had never seen the planet before, but the tales told of battles waged there were near legendary. He chuckled and his comm-link beeped.It must be Jeff he thought to himself. He walked towards the cargo hold, he wanted privacy. That was something Spartans didn't learn... "Talk to me Jeff." "Alex thank god! The cruiser we were on came under attack by the Covenant as we were leaving Onyx airspace! I... I got Joeseph out but Lily-" Alex stopped listening and threw the comm-link down, and smashed it beneath his feet. They finally managed to piss him off, and the Covenant would pay... He picked up a box containing who knows what and threw it across the cargo hold. He didn't have any sadness for tears, only a burning need for revenge. The bastards would die. Once the plan was finished, it was war.

((Dante, wanna go MIA wit me? LOL!!!! Revenge is beautiful))

"Here we go." Nick said as the ship began to land.

Ennis watched as Alex moved away for a moment. Throwing something shortly after. He could tell the Spartan was angry at something, but at what?

"A two mile hike you said, Nick?" Ennis asked again as the ship rubbled to a halt and landed.

As the Spartans stood up to exit the dropship, Ennis double checked all of their armor and made sure his equipment was all still there. As they all exited the ship the smaller Spartan stretched, getting the itch to burst out into a sprint, but knew he couldn't.

"Well, this should be interesting." Gideon commented exiting the ship.

((Wouldn't have it any other way Jay.))

Hearing a crash, Nick yelled, "Hey! Keep it professional. We have a mission, lets move!"

~~A while later~~

The group was coming up on the outscirts of Notio. Here farmscrapers rose up above the ground. They were created because of the growing need for food and lack of land. The streets here didn't have many people, so the group enterred relativley unnoticed. Nick had them continue on, for the hangers were deeper in the city.

"Alright guys, lets split up. Simon, you take one group and see if you can get jobs at the hangers. Remember the fake-IDs I gave all of you. I'll take another group and look for a place for us to stay. Wait a sec, are we missing someone?"


((Dante, if you don't want Alex to run away yet, you can just say that he was around the corner and have him catch up.))

The dropship landed into a plasma scar to keep them hidden, it was a good move so they could not be detected by inserrectionists or covenent. David looked through his things to make sure he had everything he packed. He had everything from close combat to demolition. When they left back to the ship he was gonna leave the covenents with a bang. He got off the ship and looked at the smaller spartan stretching with a meloncholy look on his face. "Rest of us anchoring you down rabbit?" He said getting out of the doors. Nick then ordered them to move and quit with the friendly chatter. David moved up on Nick to keep by him


--A while later--

As they got to the outskirts of Notio they started to see sprawling towers around them. They were used to create large amounts of food easier. Nick gave them orders to split up; One team to get jobs for whatever reason. And the second to find a place for them to stay. Then he noticed someone was missing from the group.

"Rest of us anchoring you down Rabbit?" David said to Ennis.

Ennis smirked to himself slightly and moved towards the front of the group ahead of Nick and the others by three or four meters.

Nick and David noticed someone missing and commented on it, making the entire group come to a halt. Ennis stopped and did a quick head count. Someone was missing. He recalled a certain Spartan's tantrum earlier before departing.

Alex smiled, he still had it. He unloaded his weapons. 2 Magnums, 1 Assault Rifle, 5 clips. 1 Sniper, 2 clips, and 2 SMGs, 10 clips each. He strapped them on and slipped away from the group to the outskirts of the city. The damn bastards will pay. Alex snuck into the shadows and left the city to set up a camp. They would pay, for every single damn person they've killed and every single person they'd caused grief towards. He noticed a small camp about 10 clicks away, thanking his enhanced helmet vision. "Hm. Now who could that be?" He chuckled to himself.

Jay noticed a shaded figure figure approaching his camp while he was scouting. Hidden in an old foxhole, he waited for the man to get closer. Once he was close enough, he grabbed the man from the darkness and pushed him to the ground. "Who are you? Why are you out here, I killed all hostiles in the area. This is a long way from the road. Why are you here?"

"Who's missing?" Nick asked.

"It's Alex." Simon responded.

"This morning he was throing stuff around, mad at something." Gideon informed.

"Well, it looks like he went rouge. I don't think we can catch him back, so lets not worry about it." Nick sighed. "Simon, you take David and Rabbit to look for jobs at the hangers. Gideon an I will look for a place to stay. Meet back here at sunset."

"Why are we ditching Alex again?" Simon asked.

"Because even if we catch him, what will we do? He doesn't want to be with us, so we'll have to tie him up, and you can't tie up a spartan. We would need atleast two people watching him, and for what? Its better if we continue without him."

"That makes sence. C'mon David and Ennis, we have a mission to finish."

Alex was not expecting someone to have this kind of strength. He was on the ground in seconds. "Who are you!?" The man screamed at him. Alex coughed. "Alex designation 214!" He managed to say quietly. The man continued to scream, "Why are you out here, I killed all hostiles in the area. This is a long way from the road. Why are you here?" He managed to kick the man off him and said, "My name, is Alex-214." He flipped out a magnum, "Now tell me yours."

They noticed that Alex had abandoned the group and left because of the loss of Lily. They talked it over very breifly and decided it would be better for them to move on without him. David And Rabbit got paired up under Simon to go looking for jobs in the hanger. "Well, looks like there's another MIA." David Said to the others as they began going into the hanger.
