Battle Of Harmony

"Last Night we recived a distress call from the planet of Harmony. We are unsure of why the distress cal was sent. ONI belives that the Insurrection are on the planet, but we need you're unit to investigate and find out for sure" said Major Bidwell.

"Roger that, Major" Robinson, James'es CO said.

"Ok then, see you when you get back" replied the major.

"Affirimatave. Out" Robinson acknowledged, and got up from the breifing desk. "Well, you guy's heard the man. Now you know why that Pelican arrived here, Martian."

"Yea, guess I do" James replied, and got up, holstering his Model 99. The squad walked out, heading over to the Pelican. "Any idea how we are gonna get there, lt?"

"What do you think, dip-shit? We're going on the UNSC Gorgon." he said, and got onto a seat of the Pelican.

"Hey, thats fine with me" James replied, and got on across from Robinson. The rest of the squad clambered on, and the Pelican took off, heading twoards space.

James leaned back against his seat, trying not to fall out as the Pelican shook. Just how bumpy were rides to space anyways? He didn't know the answer, and just waited till they arrived at the UNSC Gorgon. The Pelican landed, and the squad got out. We walked through the hanger, splitting up. Martin, Robinson, and some other trooper named Garris stayed in the hanger, while the rest of the squad went to the Mess Hall. James went over to a Falcon and looked over how it worked.

"Hey, what are ye doin?" asked a gruff voice. An enginner moved out from behind the Falcon.

"Oh, nothing. Just seeing what the Falcon was like" I reply.

"Oh, this? We're currently upgrading it. Tryin to make something better outta it. Some kind of new model" the enginner answered.

"Oh, ok. Can't wait" I say, and walk back off twoards the leutinant.

James walks up twoards the bridge, planning on asking the Captian how long it would take. Then again, that would probably just piss him off. Oh well. James sighed and walked back twoards the barracks, deciding to tget some shut eye. He walked through the halls, finding an empty room. He went into it, and layed down on one of the many bunks. He fell asleep, and woke up almost four hours later. He yawned, and got out of bed.

"We have arrived at Harmony. Cobra Squad, begin departure" said a voice over the comm. James hear Cobra Squad, and rush twoards the hanger.

Damn it! How long did I sleep? James thought as he arrived in the hanger. He got in the Pelican, ignoring Robinson as he yelled at James. James looked over at Garris, and nodded. Robinson got in, and the Pelican took off. It then took off, and flew out of the hanger. It flew down twoards the planet, and started entering the atmosphere.

I hope it's just the bloody Insurrection James thought to himself as they made their way through the atmosphere. The Pelcian flew the atmosphere, the edges heating up. At last, they broke through, and flew down towards a small town. Apparently, the town's name was Vegas, named after Las Vegas. The Pelican landed at a landing pad at the town, and the squad got off. James drew his Model 99, and walked around, scanning the area. "Areas clean, so far" James reported.

"Roger, take Garris and cover us from that hill up there" says Robinson.

James acknowledged, and headed up the hill. Garris trailed behind.

Reach had been peaceful for a while, not found by any Covenant forces. A few weeks ago, they had glassed a planet near Harmony, which had a semi-massive shipyard. Now, Reach had recived a distress call from the planet, before it went silent. John Robinson, 1st platoon of the 3rd Assult Division, was sent orders to go to the planet with the UNSC Gorgon and find out what the hell was going on.

Martian situatied himself in the grass above the city. Garris layed on the ground beside him, binocualrs out. He put his eyes up to them, and looked throughout the city, mostly around Robinson's area. Martin, however, was keeping watch on the perimeter.

"James, think I have movement" says Garris, looking twoards a structure. Martian looked over to the structure, and adjusted the scope. Yep, there was someone in there. Only one, by the looks of it, but he radioed into Robinson.

"Sir, got a person in the two story red building to you're left" said Martian, keeping his eye on him.

"Roger that. I'll have Morris and Ling check it out" the Lt replied. Martian acknowledged, and watched as the two enter the building.

(Note: Anyone can control any soldier in 1st Platoon, except Garris and Martian)

Ling and Morris enter the building, their MA37s up. They enter upstairs, and Morris falls down, blood coming out of his back. Ling look around and is just in time to see a knife coming twoards his face. He falls down too.

Meanwhile, outside...

Martian watched as the two troopers fell, and yelled into his com.

"We have confirmed hostiles inside! Repeat! Confirmed hostiles!" Martian yelled, and the rest of the squad burst into the building, opening fire. After a small engagement of about 10 seconds, the fight ceased. Two civilians, who turned out to be rebels, lay dead. Martian and Garris slid down the slope twoards the house.

"Well, turns out it is the Insurrection" said Robinson.

"Yep. This is just fucking great" Garris complained.

"Shut the hell up, Garris" Martian said, looking at him. The rest of the squad went through the rest of the town, and small arms fire was ocassionaly heard.

((Sigh...PFC Adam Whiskey, born in Visegrad, Espoz, Reach. Joined the Military when he was 28, and has gotten promoted to a Private First Class because of him saving another trooper's life. That trooper, Ling, just died. Adam has a M90 Shotgun and a MA37. He is quite popular and friendly in the platoon. Even Robinson likes him.))

"Allright, boys, we are gonna circle west and check out the outpost. Hopefully nothing bad happens on our way there" said Robinson, and the platoon returns to their warthogs. Martian, Garris, Adam, and Robinson get in one, while the rest of the Platoon get in the other. Martain started up the Warthog, and started driving west.

"Well, this clears up one thing. The Insurrection ARE responsible" said Garris.

"No dip, Sherlok" said Robinson, and added "How about you shut the fuck up and watch for hostiles" That shut Garris up.

Martain drove along, looking around. "You wonder if we're gonna fight the Covenant anytime soon?" he asked.

"I sure as hell hope not" said a trooper in the other warthog.

"Ahh, shut up. We're gonna fight them one day or another" Martain replied.

"Yea, you're probably right" the trooper answered, and shut up. Martain sighed and focused once more on the road.

Tinkov 'Scarecrow' Gunsche,the name ringed through his ears,he frowned as he thumbed the visor of a broken helm,he stood up from the bench and yawned,his coat slowly swaying in the wind,his pants set loosely over his hips,black combat boots where tied across a belt,he sighed again as he looked around the desolate park, he clenched his bandaged hands into fists as he stretched his arms up,he smiled as the sun pressed against his face,warming it slowly,a dirty brown U.N. officers cap was set upon his greasy black hair. He brought down his hand to scratch his chin scruff,his mustache split in two and thronged outwards. he looked towards one of the wrecked buildings and smiled,his broad chin and jaw complimented his Russian accent, he looked around once more before heading off to the building[that was a appearance definition]

The two warthogs drove nearer to the Relay. They could see gunfire outside. They drove over, and saw that there were local Milita fighting the Insurrection. Martian hurried up onto a hill with Garris, and started to open fire. The rest of the squad hurried over to cover, and opened fire on the Rebels.
