Fall of Versailles

The UNSC Versailles (Ver-sai) was one of the most "luxurious" ships in the UNSC fleet. It contained civilian deck that contained over 600 rooms all modeled after the very rooms of the Palace of Versailles in France. The civilian sector's halls were lined with mirrors and everything. When Harvest was attacked, the Versailles was one of the ships docking with evacuation transports. After the ship left system and transported all surviving civilian personnel, it was decommitioned on Reach.
Several years later, the Versailles was recommitioned to search and reconaisance missions. Soon, they discovered one of the first Halo Rings to be found by humanity. The Covenant had already been occupying the area for quite some time. Of course, the ship was under attack by Covenant forces. This is the story behind the last moments of the UNSC Versailles.

"We are taking heavy fire from those Corvettes!" stated the Ensign Carter. "Keep us on course for that ring," ordered Captain Niles.
"Our communications are down, we have no contact with the command," cried Carter.
"Turn on local communications."
A loud crash came from the hull of the ship.

ATTENTION: ALL HANDS TO BATTLE STATIONS. ATTENTION: ALL HANDS TO BATTLE STATIONS

The message became a drone in the backround to Connor, he was too busy.

Holy Shit! Is this really happening? I got to get out of here, I wasn't meant for this!

Connor sprinted down the hall towards the escape pods.

"Hey! You can't go in there! We're all in this together!" A man raced after him.

Connor fliiped him the bird and got in a pod, pressing the launch button, but nothing happened.

The man had caught up and blocked the door.

Dammit

The two fought for control of the door, but the man was stronger than Connor expected.

Martian stumbled along as another shot hit the ship. An alarm blared as civilians paniked.

Damn, how the hell am I supposed to calm these peope down? Martian thought to himself.

"Alright, everyone, stay organized and follow me. If you stay organized, we will make it out alive" Martain said. He hurried them along twoards the escape pods, and made sure they stayed together and organized.
